This Privacy Policy explains how Alongo ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile app and website.

1. Information we collect

Account data: name, email, and profile photo you provide at sign-up.
Trip data: itineraries, expenses, and group memberships you create.
Location data: collected only while you actively choose to share your location with a trip group, and stopped the moment you toggle sharing off.
Device data: a push-notification token to deliver trip notifications.

2. How we use your information

We use your data solely to provide and improve the service - syncing trips across your group, calculating expense balances, delivering notifications, and showing your location to members you've chosen to share with. We do not sell your data to third parties.

3. Data sharing

Trip content (itineraries, expenses, location) is visible only to members of the relevant trip group. We use trusted infrastructure providers (such as Supabase and Google Firebase) to operate the service.

4. Data security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Location data is shared only with members of your trip group and only while sharing is enabled.

5. Your rights

You can access, modify, or delete your data at any time from the app settings, or via our Account Deletion page.
