About Bali

Bali - Indonesia''s "Island of the Gods" - is a singular blend of spirituality, nature and hospitality that has enchanted travellers for a century. Hindu temples perch on sea cliffs and crater lakes, emerald rice terraces ripple across the hills, and a daily rhythm of offerings, incense and gamelan music gives the whole island a gentle, sacred hum. Every corner has its own character. Ubud, the cultural heart, is wrapped in jungle, yoga studios, art markets and the famous Tegalalang rice terraces. The south - Seminyak, Canggu and Uluwatu - brings surf breaks, beach clubs, clifftop sunsets and a booming café scene. Further out lie the volcanic sunrise hike of Mount Batur, the waterfalls and rice fields of the north, and boats to the turquoise Nusa islands and world-class diving around Amed and Menjangan. Bali is also brilliantly affordable, warm year-round and endlessly welcoming. Whether you come to surf, to detox, to dive, to party or simply to slow down over a Balinese feast, the island delivers - just balance the busy south with the quiet, soulful interior to see why so many visitors never quite want to leave.
